Adding a Device - Hikvision

To view your cameras, either when at home or when away, you will need to create a "Device" for your system.  This is your unique portal to connecting to your camera system.  Some routers will allow you to use a single device to connect to your cameras, regardless of whether you're home or away, but many do not.  For this reason we recommend that you add two devices: one for when you're at home connected to your local Wi-Fi network, and one for when you're away from home, either with a data connection, or on an external W-Fi network.

Please create the following Devices using the iVMS-4500 iOS app:

Device 1: At Home / WiFi

Step 1: Press the Menu button (the white circle with three horizontal lines in it) to open the Menu.  Select "Devices":

Step 2: Tap on the "Add" button (looks like a Plus sign at the top right corner of the app), then select "Manual Adding":

Step 3: Enter the Device information for "At Home / Wi-Fi".

Alias: The Alias can be named anything you want, but we recommend noting "Wi-Fi" in the name to remind you that HAVE TO BE CONNECTED TO THE SAME WI-FI NETWORK AS THE CAMERA RECORDER.

Register/Domain: Make sure it's set to IP/Domain

Address: Enter the IP Address exactly as provided by BWE (example: 192.168.1.1)

Port: DO NOT CHANGE

User Name: Enter exactly as provided by BWE

Password: Enter exactly as provided by BWE

When done, tap on the "Save" button at the top right of the app:

Step 4: Once you save the site and the app connects to the camera recorder, you should see "Start Live View" at the bottom of the app.  Tap on Start Live View to view live cameras.

Device 2: Away from Home

Repeat Step 1 and 2 from Adding Device 1.

Step 3: Enter the Device information for "Away from Home":
